ROK partner Michael Knauß and Ammar Mirjan were invited by Areti Markopoulou to teach a workshop on robotic fabrication strategies at the Institue for advanced architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) in Barcelona.

The workshop takes place from 14th to 17th of May 2012.

Silvan Oesterle was invited by Jean Lucien Gay to present ROK's work at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio. The lecture is part of the OSA lecture series and presented by Integrated digital tools.

EPFL Lecture

ROK partner Silvan Oesterle was invited by Julien Woessner to present his research on re-useable free-form concrete formwork in the context of the concrete conference: Le beton, matiere en devenir. The presented research work was conducted as part of Silvan's academic work at the Professorship for Architecture and Digital Fabrication, ETH Zurich and is funded by the EU-FP7 project TailorCrete.

Global Holcim Innovation 1st prize 2012

For the development of a new type of re-useable free-form concrete formwork Silvan Oesterle and his team at the Professorship for Architecture and Digital Fabrication, ETH Zurich received the Global Holcim Innovation 1st Prize. The research is part of the TailorCrete project that is supported by the EU-FP7 program.
